So, Zhang Li Yin's second anniversary (September 9th, 2008) is coming up. Does anyone have any ideas of what we should do this year? On Soompi, I suggested that we could pull a similar event on what Chocolates did in 2007 for her birthday, which was when ZLY fans got together and tried to improve her search ranking number. Does anyone know how that works? But this year, instead of covering Naver, we could cover Baidu as well, since that's China's main search engine. What do you guys think? If we do this, we'll have to get not just Chocolyns but Chinese/Korean Chocolates as well. Other ideas or suggestions? |

About the whole search engine thing, does typing in her name and opening the results count? Or just entering her name? (Lol sorry it sounds weird, but I hope you understand what I'm trying to say =X) |

I'm not sure. I wasn't at Soompi when that project got started, but I think it's just you entering her name in? I'm not sure how it works. A Korean!fluent (or not) member would have to explain it works/worked. |

thats a good idea. or, like, maybe on youtube and other sites we could all post her lesser-known songs with translations and pinyin on the same day. so we could spread the word about her. idk, it wasnt as good of an idea. |

Along with that, how about we also get her something nice? I don't know .. I wanna get her some really cute clothes cause she's like deprived of that. >_< Just a suggestion. I wanna make this one special.

I don't think she's deprived of cute clothes, but her stylist is deprived of cute clothes for her... So I personally don't want to send her clothes. It doesn't seem very practical when none of us has actually seen her in real life to even know what her size is, how tall she actually is etc. Necklace? Earrings? But how would we ship those over to China? We don't know her mailing address etc. Bah. D: |

Yeah .. I was looking for some clothes earlier this afternoon, but I couldn't find anything at all so I guess clothes is out of the question .. unless you guys wanna make like a customized shirt, sweatshirt, sweatpant, etc. I was also looking at jewelry, but they're pretty expensive and I don't know how many people would be willing to donate. Then, I thought, "Hm .. Ri In loves music, so I why don't we get something affiliated with that." But then, she already has an iPod or mp3 player as we can see in her airport pics and I saw these earbuds that's customized-ish. You can engrave something on this one part and they're $16. I was also looking at fountain pens cause I watched Fated to Love You and I just thought they were cool. :P Now, I'm all out of ideas. |

i would want to send her some pretty chocolates but its structure would probably end up quite fugly after some hours in heat... about the customized shirt.. i know a place where they do the service at quite an affordable price -- like 2-5$ per piece .. it would be much better if we would order in huge quantities .. not really a hundred pieces but like a dozen.. we'd get a huge discount.. the engraved earbuds... that's a nice idea...!!! I wouldn't know what to do with shirts either... How about we save the shirts for whenever she visits North America or whenever she has her own concert? It's a pity that she doesn't have one definite fanclub colour. It would make things so much easier. :3 We don't really have an official Chocolyn logo either. :S Yeah, it's too bad earrings are so expensive. It would be nice if we sent her personalized earrings. :D Let's just come up with ideas first. And then really decide at the end of June? We still have two months time to get stuff together, sooo. ^^ |

Yeah .. what we really need though is to get more people to share their ideas. If only we know the exact amount of people willing to donate. It would make the brainstorming easier cause we'd know if we can go a little expensive or if we have to be more frugal. Hm .. so what else can we get her? A glass chocolate? A book full of messages? |

I saw those nameplates online last night and tbh, I think they look kinda cheesy. Not something a nineteen-year-old would wear... :3 Maybe a 14-year-old or a 12-year-old... :S I like the book of messages though. We could get it professionally published at an actual place. And as for donations... Well, considering the amount of people here at Chocolyn right now, it doesn't look like a lot of people want to donate or participate. >____<" |

I like that scrapbook idea of all her accomplishments. Anyone know where to get the book professionally done though? Once we have a definite thing we want to get her, maybe we can ask for help at soompi? Edit -- Okay .. so a friend suggested that we either get her an iPod set since we see her carrying her iPod everywhere or some DVDs. She said DBSK on their off days get bored so when fans sent them some DVDs, they watch them instead of lazing around so maybe we can get Ri In some movies when she has a day off?
